PARIS 2020 EUROPEAN ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS: SCHEDULE RELEASED
With just over 250 days to go until the
Paris 2020 European Athletics Championships,
Aug. 25-30, the competition schedule has been released and can be viewed on the
European Athletics website page.
The championships will begin at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25, with an afternoon of heats and qualifying at the Charléty Stadium, followed by an Opening Ceremony to be held at 8:00 p m.
After the
2020 Olympics (the Athletics portion is expected to run
July 31-Aug. 8) in which athletes will vie for medals on
MONDOTRACK WS (already installed at the
Olympic Stadium in Tokyo), athletes expected for the European Championships (1,400 in all representing 51 nations) will compete again on a Mondo track:
Sportflex Sup er X 720.
The track was installed at Charléty Stadium last July for the Meeting de Paris, which is part of the Diamond League circuit.
